Hello Everybody,

As a reminder on behalf of Laura, the Kingfisher training will take place next Monday 12^th of June at 10:00. We will organize an opportunity to join it in the coffee room of EcoGen. For those hoping to join it remotely, there is a Teams link at the VERY BOTTOM of this email conversation. The training will continue the next day, Tuesday 13^th at 10:00 in the molecular labs near the PCR machines where the Kingfisher is currently located. We will forward a separate invitation to bioposti/biolaitos lists for the Tuesday event once we receive it from ThermoFisher so you can also join it remotely.

Hi all,

Next week there is a second training for using the KingFisher DNA-extraction equipment. There is space to about 5-10 people to join the demos, for example 1 person per group could be a good option. All interested can attend the lectures.

This time, the plan is to try plant and microbiome kits, and thus I’m asking if you have samples for microbiome analyses, could you consider giving some for testing? Some plant samples may be added as well. Please contact Soile or Hannele (cc me) if you can provide samples.
