Special Unit meeting on Fri 15.11. at 2-3pm: Finland's Committee for Public Information (TJNK) meets Ecology&Genetics Researchers
The Committee for Public Informationhttps://tjnk.fi/en/Tiedonjulkistamisen neuvottelukunta is an expert body attached to Finland's Ministry of Education and Culture.
The Committee will be happy to join the Ecology and Genetics unit's weekly Friday meeting on Fri 15.11. at 2-3pm, to present and discuss with you: How to support freedom of expression for researchers?
The TJNK's is running a project to create guidelines and recommendations on the topic (read more in Finnishhttps://tjnk.fi/fi/ajankohtaista/tutkijoiden-sananvapauden-tueksi-hankkeen-ohjeistusluonnos-julkaistu).
The Friday meeting is as usual relaxed and free, to enable open discussion, sharing experiences and ideas.
PROGRAMME:
- How to protect freedom of expression for researchers against threats to it/Draft of the recommendations by TJNK, Oula Silvennoinen
- What is current in Oulu in relation to freedom of expression for researchers and its challenges, researchers' experiences
- Open discussion
- Possible follow-up
TJNK staff will join the meeting online.
