Hei kaikki

Yksikön tilanne näyttää sikäli positiiviselta, että meille olisi tulossa runsaasti uusia työntekijöitä ja meillä näyttäisi olevan uupelo työpisteistä. Niilo on yrittänyt kartoittaa monitoimitilojen työpisteitä, mutta näyttää siltä, että kukaan huoneissa ei  näytä tietävän kuka missäkin pisteessä istuu ja kaikkia työpisteitten haltijoita ei Niilo ole koskaan onnistunut näkemään.  Siispä tästä lähtien otetaan käytäntö että jokaisessa monitoimitilan työpisteessä pitää olla selkeästi kiinnitettynä lappu, jossa lukee: 1) työpisteen käyttäjän nimi 2) nimike 3) voimassaoleva sähköpostiosoite 4) puhelinnumero.  Jos näitä tietoja ei ole niin oletamme, että työpiste ei ole käytössä ja se annetaan työpistettä tarvitsevalle. Meillä on todella pulaa työpisteistä, joten niitä ei voi  varata ellei niissä aktiivisesti työskentele. Paikka siis pitää luovuttaa pois myös pidemmän tilapäisen poissaolon (esim. ulkomailla työskentelyn) ajaksi. Paikkoja ei myöskään voi antaa gradulaisille. Ohjaajien tulee huolehtia että tämä tieto menee kaikille mahdollisesti biolaitos-listan ulkopuolella oleville. Jos listalta puuttuu joku meillä työskentelevä, niin ohjaajien tulisi ilmoittaa siitä minulle. Tällä hetkellä listalla on 121 henkilöä, joten oletan että lähes kaikki ovat siellä.

It seems that we are getting lot of new staff to our unit. So much that we are short of office desks. Niilo has tried to find out who is using the office desks in our “multiple use” offices. The task seems to be impossible because nobody in the offices seems to know who are actually working there and Niilo has not been able to catch up all the users. Thus, for now on, everybody working in the multiple use offices the has to attach to their office desks a visible note where there is clearly written 1) name of the user of the desk 2)  title 3) e-mail address 4) phone number. If the note is missing we assume that the desk is not in use and it will be given to the needy ones. One cannot really reserve a desk if you are not working there actively because there is shortage of them. We are not either giving office desks for master students. Supervisors have to take care that this information  is given to all the persons who are not in the biolaitos mailing list. And, please, tell me if you know someone who is not in the list and is supposed to be there. There are 121 persons in the list at this moment and I suppose that most of us are there.
