By the end of this month – so 31st May, all PIs, please send me:
- a short text describing what your group does, see for example the group descriptions that open on this old site when you click on the group name:
https://www.oulu.fi/en/university/faculties-and-units/faculty-science/ecology-and-genetics . If your group has an external website, include a link into that as well. The text should be both in English and in Finnish – if you have no Finnish speakers in
your group I can help with translations.
- If you have nice photos of your group in action, please include one as well
- list of PhD students and post docs and other staff to be included in the list of personnel
- please send your material with the e-mail subject “Unit website” so I can keep track of them more easily
- if in doubt whether your group should have its own entry with you as the PI or whether you should be under some larger group of people, I don’t think there are any hard rules, let me know if you’re uncertain.
Any other thoughts on what should be included in the unit website are also valuable, but note that we are tied to the format provided by the University so there are some constraints. Suggestions welcome nevertheless!
