As mentioned at the last Unit meeting, the season of writing funding applications is starting. So if you or your PhD students need support in the writing process, welcome to join the Peer-Support group for PhD Grant Writing, on Friday 23.8, 10:00-12:00 in BF119. The aim is to help each other in writing better grant application. We hill hear tips, discuss, and review application, in a constructive and supportive way. The session last ~2 hours as follow:
* 10:00-11:00 : What can make a good application? Presentations of successful grant applications from Kone and Cultural Foundation grantees. Discussion with professor involved in evaluating applications and funding decisions. * 11:00-12:00: Peer-review of grant applications. In pairs or in small groups, we will review and constructively comment on each other's applications. Bring your laptop or a printed version of the application. It can be a draft for your future funding, or a previous application.
You can join the whole or part of the event as you wish. This is especially targeted to PhD students, but Post-Docs and more experienced scholars are welcome to join too to provide support! Let's meet in person, in BF119 just next to the G door.
