Planning an ERC Synergy Grant proposal? Review services available
The European Research Council (ERC) launched its Synergy Grant Schemehttps://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/portal/screen/opportunities/topic-details/erc-2020-syg with a deadline 5.11.2019. A group of two to maximum four Principal Investigators (PIs) - of which one will be designated as the corresponding PI - working together and bringing different skills and resources to tackle ambitious research problems. No specific eligibility criteria regarding the academic training are foreseen for ERC Synergy Grants. PIs must present an early achievement track-record or a ten-year track-record, whichever is most appropriate.
The aim of the ERC Synergy Grants is to promote substantial advances at the frontiers of knowledge, to cross-fertilize scientific fields, and to encourage new productive lines of enquiry and new methods and techniques, including unconventional approaches and investigations at the interface between established disciplines. The transformative research funded by Synergy Grants should have the potential of becoming a benchmark on a global scale. As the scheme is highly competitive, the Research Support Services would like to offer support and review services to the PIs preparing a proposal and planning to submit an ERC SyG proposal. The review services are available for a limited number of applicants. Please express your interest by 11th September by sending an email to anne.salmi@oulu.fimailto:anne.salmi@oulu.fi.
