Dear all people of the unit, particularly those doing molecular lab work,

We are considering buying a KingFisher sample preparation (DNA/RNA/Protein extraction) instrument Apex to the unit from infrastructure funds of the ANTS programme. See the attached brochure for details. About Apex on page 5.

As a rule, with such expensive instruments, there is a demo period during which anyone can test the equipment for free. It would be desirable that anyone going to use this machine would try it during the demo period. During the demo, people from the company will assist with using the machine.

The demo will take place in the week starting 9 January 2023.

At this point, I would need the following information from those of you who would like to test the Apex during the demo week:

1. Your name

2. The kit you would like to test. For various kits available, see list below and the links therein.

Please let me know about your interest and kit(s) you want to test by 25 November.
