Just a reminder and some updates for those who have expiring computers inside Ecology and Genetics. It is likely we will have the new computers installed on the 27th of December, which is the Friday of next week. If you are away on holidays and it is not suitable for you that we will replace the computer during your leave, please contact me so we can arrange a better time for the installation. I also heard that some of you like to use Internet Explorer as your browser, so here are also the instructions to backup those bookmarks and passwords. In this case also notice that Internet Explorer has been replaced with Microsoft Edge in Windows 10.

To whom it concerns,
We will receive new computers during the last week of December for those whose computer will be unplugged from the university intranet. If the background on your computer has been replaced by a message that this computer will be unplugged, please make sure you have all your personal files from this computer transferred over to the K:\ drive or an external hard drive/thumb drive. I also suggest to backup the bookmarks/passwords from your browser to the same K:\ drive (or to your Google Account) so you can transfer them easily to the new computer. Here is how to do this with Mozilla and Chrome:
