When you go on a work trip, find out what vaccinations or medicines are required in the destination country or place. Also consider the nature of
the work. For example, if you travel to a conference and work on a computer indoors, the need for vaccinations is different than when you travel for field work and are exposed to various biological exposures.
The occupational health service ensures and specifies in more detail the vaccinations and medicines needed on the trip based on the destination
location and country and the nature of the work.
1. Ask the line manager to write a free-form certificate about the work trip, which states the following:
2. Book in advance, 1-2 months before departure, 60 minutes time for an occupational health nurse.
3. Take the certificate drawn up by the line manager with you to the visit. Also explain your previous vaccinations to the occupational health nurse.
Vaccinations must be taken and prescriptions written in occupational health care. When the need for vaccinations or medicines is defined in occupational
health care and they are found to be work-related, the employee does not receive a taxable benefit.
The vaccinations required for the work trip are invoiced by the occupational health care as part of other occupational health care costs. The employee
buys the medicines himself and they are reimbursed based on the employee's travel invoice.

Rokotukset ja lääkkeet työmatkaa varten
Kun lähdet työmatkalle, selvitä mitä rokotuksia tai lääkkeitä kohdemaassa tai -paikassa edellytetään. Huomioi myös työn luonne. Mikäli matkustat esimerkiksi
konferenssiin ja teet työtä tietokoneella sisätiloissa, on rokotusten tarve erilainen kuin silloin, kun matkustat maastotöihin ja altistut erilaisille biologisille altisteille.
Työterveyshuolto varmistaa ja määrittelee tarkemmin kohdepaikan ja -maan sekä työn luonteen perusteella matkalla tarvittavat rokotukset ja lääkkeet.
1. Pyydä esihenkilöä kirjoittamaan vapaamuotoinen todistus työmatkasta, jossa on kerrottu seuraavat asiat:
2. Varaa hyvissä ajoin, 1-2 kk ennen lähtöä, 60 min. aika työterveyshoitajalle.
3. Ota käynnille mukaan esimiehen laatima todistus. Selvitä työterveyshoitajalle myös aiemmat rokotuksesi.
Rokotukset tulee ottaa ja lääkemääräykset kirjoittaa työterveyshuollossa.
Kun rokotusten tai lääkkeiden tarve määritellään työterveyshuollossa ja ne todetaan työhön liittyviksi, ei työntekijälle muodostu veronalaista etua.
Työmatkaa varten tarvittavat rokotukset työterveyshuolto laskuttaa osana muita työterveyshuollon kustannuksia. Lääkkeet työntekijä ostaa itse ja ne korvataan
työntekijän tekemän matkalaskun perusteella.
