Subject: National Snow Seminar (PYRY) in Oulu - registration open!

Dear Finnish Snow community,

Registration for the 13^th National snow seminar is now open: https://link.webropolsurveys.com/EP/663E48E9ECED108B

The 13th National Snow Seminar, also known as the PYRY seminar, will be arranged in Oulu on 30th-31st October. 

As in prior years, the seminar welcomes presentations covering a range of topics related to snow, such as scientific snow studies, societal aspects of snow, and the importance of snow for water resources. This year, the seminar also serves as the final conference of the CRYO-RI project, hosting a session for snow monitoring technologies. The seminar proudly presents a dedicated session for the intersection of snow and arts + sports, with Olympic gold medalist Sami Jauhojärvi as the keynote speaker.

The seminar will take place in the Nordic Art Hotel Lasaretti and is an in-person event. The seminar is free of charge, including seminar dinner and lunch, limiting the number of participants to 70 people – don’t freeze and register fast!

The deadline for registration and submitting an abstract is the 30th of September.
