APPLY OR SUGGEST FOR THE BEST PhD THESIS PRIZE 2020

 

·       Now is again time to apply or suggest for the Oikos Finland best PhD thesis prize.

Oikos Finland gives "The best PhD thesis in ecology and evolutionary biology in Finland" -prize. The prize is 500 €. The winner is invited to give a talk in the Oikos Finland meeting and she/he is also asked to write a general article to "Luonnontutkija" (in Finnish). In case you’re not a native Finnish speaker you can write a general essay of your thesis, which will be translated to Finnish for Luonnontutkija.

 

Now we are giving out the prize for the academic year 2019-2020 (1.8.2019-31.7.2020).  

The application can be filled by the candidate her/himself or by e.g. the supervisors. The deadline for applications is 24.11.2020. Any questions, please ask Leena Lindström (leena.m.lindstrom"@"jyu.fi).

For each entry to be considered include:

1) link to the e-thesis

2) a short (about 200 words) justification why this thesis should get the prize

3) opponents statement of the thesis
