Hi all,
For physiology course, I have rented an InBody analyser for 5 days next week (03.-07.02.). The machine is in room B219 and you are welcome to use it. However, course students are priority and I have to be present, so staff could use the analyser on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 16.00-17.00/18.00. You can also check ex tempore times...
See inbody.com or in Finnish www.inbody.fi for more details and how to analyse the results.
In short:
YES: -bare clean feet and hands -no food or drink for 2 hours -go to the toilet just before -avoid exercising just before -adjust yourself to room temperature -stand up for 5 minutes before testing -no alcohol for 12 hours -menstruation will bias the results
NO: - you have pacemaker - you are pregnant - you feel or are sick - you have any kind of prosthesis - you are not able to stand still for 5 minutes
Sincerely,
Jaana Jurvansuu, PhD.
