Support available for the Research Council of Finland's next winter call
The preparation for the Research Council of Finland’s (RCF) next winter call, DL mid-January 2025, starts soon. The calls are expected to be published
in late October and open in mid-November.
The University’s Research Support Services offers different events and support for planning and writing your applications:
Synopsis workshop
28.8.2024, 9-12 at Tellus Backstage
Contents: For developing your research idea and considering the impact of your project. This workshop session will consist of short presentations, time to work on your project idea and discussions.

Aimed at all RCF applicants
RCF Winter call info session & Info session on responsible science
7.11.2024, 10-12; 13-15, Room TBA (online as well)
Contents: General info about applying; lessons learnt, evaluation and budgeting. The responsible science session will consist of short presentations and discussion about the responsible science parts of the application to support the writing: research
ethics, equality and nondiscrimination, open science and sustainable development.

Academy Camp (Aimed at Academy Fellowship applicants (RCF
project applicants can participate as well, if you find the contents relevant for you)
3.10.-21.11.2024
Contents: Advice and support for writing the different sections of the applications. Short presentations about the different sections of the application. Also possibility for enhanced support, where applicants give and receive feedback for the excellence
and implementation sections.

In January 2025 also Q&A session related to general matters and the RCF’s electronic application system.
The Academy Camp sessions will be organized online and recorded to be viewed at any time afterwards.
Sessions will last from one to two hours depending on amount of the topics and if there is discussion. Participants can sign up to just the sessions and get access to the materials OR sign up for an enhanced support where peers and faculty research funding
specialists as well as data specialists comment on the two first sections of your application (only for Fellowship applicants).
