Hello Everybody,

Just a reminder we are arranging a lab cleanup in one weeks time on 16.11 starting 9:00 in front of molecular labs. We did such an throughout cleanup last time, that I would guess this year one day is plenty for us. Some additional wishes were that one of the shelfs on wheels in the dry sample room has come off the rails and so we could empty the shelf and lift it back on tracks. We could also check if we have dry samples stored in desiccators and if you need long term storage for your samples, they can be stored in the dry sample room. If you use desiccators for long term storage and it is necessary for you to keep it, could you mark them with a piece of tape with your name and date of checking. I know a week is a tight schedule, so with the desiccators I hope that they can be checked and marked before the turn of 2023.

Petri Sundqvist

Hello Everybody,

We are arraging a laboratory cleanup on 16.11. starting from 9:00 in front of molecular lab (same as last year), and we will continue the next day 17.11. 9:00 if necessary. This year the focus is on samples stored in liquid nitrogen, freezers, walk-in coldrooms, and the upstairs of water lab.

In regards to samples in liquid nitrogen, they will be checked and if there are samples with no marking they will be thrown away. I would highly encourage the people who store samples in liquid nitrogen to find time to check your samples beforehand and mark clearly with name and date on the LN sample list. Otherwise please arrive on 16.11. since the samples might be thrown away if we cant find out whose they are.

BR,

Petri Sundqvist
