Hi all,

see below – a very interesting post doc job in Jyväskylä!

Heikki

I have a postdoc position open in my lab at the department of Biolocal and Environmental Science at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland for maximum of 4 years. The position is suited to someone interested in evolutionary genetics, quantitative genetics or genomics. Start date can be as early as 1st of September but it is flexible.

My group works on mutations, epigenetics, and the genetic basis of complex traits in the filamentous fungus Neurospora crassa. We are doing mutation accumulation experiments, genome sequencing, association mapping, and making use of the versatile genetic tools available for Neurospora. The specific project for the postdoc can be either more wet-lab or computer based on interests of the candidate. Prior experience with fungal genetics is not necessary!

Jyväskylä is a beautiful city located in Central Finland, with great possibilities for sports and outdoor activities.
