Hello,
as many of you know, I was part of a research expedition to the South Sandwich Islands in serach of new species in the deep sea. This expedition was a great success (some of you might have seen the news about the colossal squid film earlier this year). But
what is it actually like being on an expedtion to one of the most remote islands in the world?
To answer this question I would like to invite you to a little presentation on 14th of November in the coffee room of the Ecology and Genetics Unit (B235) or remote in Teams at 14.00. This will not be specifically a scientific presentation (although a little
science is naturally in there), but more a general showcase of highlights and what working on a research vessel is like.
Feel free to share this event with anyone interested 🙂
All the best and see you soon,
Max
