Kvantum Science coffees 30.11. and 18.12.
Next Kvantum Science Coffee will be served on November 30, starting at 9:00 in the Tellus Innovation Arena’s Stage. The questions of the day treat hydrology, water resources
and global change. Researchers Hannu Marttila, Pertti Ala-Aho and Jussi Jyväsjärvi act guides to this current topic with the following introductions:

Kvantum Science Coffee is a casual and relaxed discussion forum where researchers can present new ideas, get feedback and collaboration within or outside of own discipline, discuss about methods or other scientific

Kolarctic CBC info event and the possibility to pitch your idea
Regional Council of Lapland will keep an application info on Wednesday 21.11. (around 10.00 -11.00 tbc) at the university of Oulu. After the info event researchers will
have the opportunity to discuss their application ideas with a Kolarctic CBC advisor. Would you be interested in presenting your idea to the advisor? If yes, then please contact Research Funding Specialist Kirsi Ojutkangas

Kolarctic Cross Border Cooperation 2014-2020 is
a financing programme for supporting cooperation between the countries in the North Calotte (Finland, Sweden, Norway) and northwest Russia. It is one of several EU programmes supporting cross-border cooperation across the EU external borders. The Programme
offers EU funding and National financing to projects that are in line with the Programme’s strategy. The Managing Authority of Kolarctic CBC 2014-2020 in Finland is the Regional Council of Lapland in Rovaniemi.
The 3rd Call for Proposals is now open. Applications can be submitted from 21.9. until 21.12.2018
at 1600 Finnish time.
The Academy of Finland and the Strategic Research Council (SRC) are inviting proposals for new strategic research themes and Academy Programmes for the year 2020.
The Academy and the SRC have opened a survey where members of the scientific community and other end-users of research knowledge across society can have their say and participate in the formation of topics and themes for Academy Programmes and SRC programmes.

You may submit several proposals and comment on proposals submitted by others. You can use
the appendix feature to add a more extensive description of the topic you are proposing. The survey is open until the end of November and it’s open to all interested
parties.
