Dear colleagues,

Biology Thursday seminars will continue via Zoom (stable link and passcode pasted at the bottom) for the time being, and the program for this semester is slowly taking shape.

Our first speaker is Dr. Tomer J. Czaczkes from the University of Regensburg, on “Information use, cognition, and value perception in ants” – this is very exciting work at the intersection of animal behaviour, comparative psychology and economics, that was just awarded an ERC Starting grant as well - so already mark 1^st Oct in your calendars!

Two things to note:
1. Students may get credits from listening to and writing summaries from seminars, but under these special circumstances I thought this could also include online seminar from other universities, so this is your chance to explore the virtual academia, I will send more information on the student list soon.

2. PLEASE send me suggestions for speakers, local or global – as this is all online, less need to worry about the costs! If I’m not getting suggestions, be prepared to hear a lot of ant talks :-)
