Dear colleagues,

the Publication forum panels have made their suggestions on changes in the journal at the levels 2 and 3 (i.e. the highest levels, which are very important for assessing our publication output, which in turn affects our incoming basic funding). These suggestions are now open for comments from the scientific community before the panels make the final decisions in their autumn meetings – all feedback will help the panels in their work, and this is your chance for input (commenting open until end of August):

Note that the quotas for journals at the highest levels was increased substantially for this evaluation round, so many journal were lifted up a level, and very few came down.
