Call for nominations: 2024 Millennium Technology Prize
The pre-eminent global technology award Millennium Technology Prize calls for nominations. The winner of the Prize receives one million euros. The Prize is awarded every two years for a breakthrough technological innovation
– next time on 30 October 2024.
The recipients of the Millennium Technology Prize are visionary forerunners for innovations to advance the quality of life and sustainable development. Three winners have later won the Nobel Prize: the exceptional biochemical
engineer Frances Arnold, LED light inventor Shuji Nakamura and stem cell researcher Shinya Yamanaka.
The call for nominations will end on 31 October 2023. We welcome nominations from organizations and individuals around the world and all fields of technology, except military technology. We encourage nominators to consider
diversity when choosing the nominee(s). In the 2022 nomination round, 28% of nominees were women.
