the Biology Thursday seminar for the spring semester is slowly taking shape – the schedule we have already sorted is up at https://thursdayseminarbiology.wordpress.com/ !

Already now two things to advertise:

Next week we kick off with Prof Dominic Wright from University of Linköping, Sweden, visiting us live in Oulu. Check out his work at: https://liu.se/en/employee/domwr72

And on the 16^th Feb we have a special 3h session 12-15 in collaboration with the Biodiverse Anthropocenes HUB Innovating approaches and methodologies, speakers Dr. Sonja Koski (https://researchportal.helsinki.fi/fi/persons/sonja-koski) and Dr. Emma Vitikainen (https://scholar.google.fi/citations?hl=en&user=qK7nGE4AAAAJ). They will both give seminars on their work, but we will also have a panel discussion on the theme of interdisciplinary work and crossing the divide between us and other animals in research! And as always: if you have suggestions for speakers, we’re happy to listen to suggestions – we can do the seminars live on site or zoom so we have a lot of flexibility for speakers not based in Oulu.
