Mietitkö, mikä on oman yliopistosi vaikutus ilmastokriisin ratkaisussa? Haluaisitko olla mukana vaikuttamassa yliopiston kestävyystoimintaan? Kiinnostaisiko sinua kestävän kehityksen täydennyskoulutus?

Yliopistoilla on suuri merkitys kiireellisten kestävyyshaasteiden ratkaisussa. Oulun yliopisto on kehittämässä toimintaansa ja strategiaansa liittyen YK:n kestävän kehityksen tavoitteisiin. Osana tätä työtä olemme luomassa yliopiston kestävyyden ja vastuullisuuden ohjelmaa. Tulevaisuuden kestävyysratkaisut koskettavat ennen kaikkea nuoria ja opiskelijoita, joten on erityisen tärkeää, että koko yliopistoyhteisö on mukana vaikuttamassa kestävyyden ja vastuullisuuden ohjelman sisältöön.

Syksyllä kysyimme opiskelijoilta ja henkilökunnalta kestävästä kampusarjesta, ja nyt ovat vuorossa opetukseen, tutkimukseen ja yhteiskunnalliseen vaikuttamiseen liittyvät aiheet. Varaa siis hetki aikaa ja vastaa kyselyyn! Kaikkien 7.2. mennessä vastanneiden kesken arvotaan lahjakortteja Oulun yliopiston verkkokauppaan. Kyselyyn vastaaminen kestää noin 5-10 minuuttia ja on täysin anonyymiä. Jos haluat osallistua arvontaan, pyydämme yhteystietojasi. Niitä ei yhdistetä vastauksiin.

Hyödynnämme kyselyn tuloksia suoraan kestävyyden ja vastuullisuuden ohjelman kirjoittamiseen. Ohjelma tulee ohjaamaan Oulun yliopiston toimintaa, ja siihen määritellään konkreettisia tavoitteita sekä toimenpiteitä. Ohjelman luomisesta vastaa Oulun yliopiston kestävän kehityksen työryhmä, ja ohjelmaa tullaan päivittämään tulevina vuosina.

Do you wonder what is your university’s impact on solving the climate crisis? Would you like to participate in the sustainability actions of the university? Would you be interested in in-service training in sustainable development?

Universities have a significant role in solving urgent sustainability challenges. University of Oulu is developing its actions and strategy related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As part of this work we are creating the sustainability and responsibility program of the university. The sustainability solutions of the future affect especially young people and students and that is why it is of great importance that the whole university community participates in creating the content of the sustainability and responsibility program.

In the fall of 2020, we asked the students and staff about sustainable everyday life on campus and now it is time to ask about topics related to teaching, research and societal interaction. Please take a moment to take this survey! Every respondent taking the survey February 7th latest gets a chance to win a gift card to the University of Oulu online shop. Answering takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes and is completely anonymous. If you wish to participate in the lottery we will ask for your contact information. Your personal information will not be connected to your answers.

We will utilize the results of the survey in writing the sustainability and responsibility plan. The program will guide the university’s actions and it will have concrete goals and measures. The working group of sustainable development together with the sustainability coordinator will be responsible for creating the program, and the program will be updated in the coming years.
