Academy of Finland September call 2018

The next events related to the Academy of Finland September call are

· Ask & Apply Roadshow of the Academy on Thursday 30^th of August at 13-15, Tellus Stage

· FTech + FSci Faculty info event on Wednesday 5^th of September  at 12-15.30  

Academy of Finland: research plan guidelines for September 2018 call

The Academy of Finland has reorganised the structure of the research plan to better correspond to the review of applications. Please fill in your research plan on a separate tab in the online application.

The September 2018 call will have five different research plan templates depending on the funding scheme.

The research plan is no longer a separate appendix. You may, of course, still draft it as a single document and then – after the call has opened – transfer it in parts into the fields on the tab in the online application.

Strategic Research Council submits proposal on 2019 strategic research themes to Government

The proposed themes are:

• Towards a sustainable, healthy and climate-neutral food system
• Innovative materials and services to promote resource wisdom and sustainable development
• The evolving role of public authority and the potential for steering society
• Culture in an increasingly technologically driven society

Research Support Services summer holidays

The research funding specialists Hannele and Päivi will be on summer holidays from 2^nd of July to 5^th of August.

Research contracts’ signatures should be managed in June and August. Contract services will be on vacation from 6^th to 27^th of July.

If there will be an unpredictable need for a signature or other support to research funding related issues in July, please contact Suvi Hentilä (tel. 482028) until 13^th of July and Emma Pirilä (tel. 485879) after 23^rd of July. More information in Notio.
