Dear Students,
Have you ever wondered what a supercomputer looks like from the inside? Or how a quantum computer works?
The MSc program in Computational Biology and Data Analysis invites you to visit the CSC High-Performance Computing (HPC) facilities in Kajaani, home to some of the most powerful computing clusters in Europe.
The visit will take place 31.10.2025 from 08:00-16:00. Before we depart, we will have a short info session at the university, where we’ll introduce what you’ll see at CSC. After that, we’ll travel together by bus to Kajaani where we will have lunch (provided)
before going to CSC where their staff will meet us and take us on a 2-hour tour. We expect to be back in Oulu around 16:00.
