You receive this email, because you registered as a member of Oikos Finland when you registered to Oulu meeting in February. Now we have some

A. Oikos Finland Best PhD prize 2019 (500 €)

B. 5 scholarships for PhD students and post docs who will attend the Oikos Iceland conference, March 2020

A) Now is again time to apply for the Oikos Finland best PhD thesis price.

Oikos Finland gives "The best PhD thesis in ecology and evolutionary biology in Finland" -prize. The prize is 500 €. The winner is also asked to write a general article to "Luonnontutkija" (in Finnish). 

Now we are giving out the prize for the academic year 2018-2019 (1.8.2018-31.7.2019).  

The application can be filled by the candidate her/himself or by e.g. the supervisors. The deadline for applications is 6.1.2020. Any questions, please ask Leena Lindström (leena.m.lindstrom"@"jyu.fi).

For each entry to be considered applicants must include:

1) link to the e-thesis

2) a short (about 200 words) justification why this thesis should get the prize

3) opponents statement of the thesis

B. 5 scholarships for PhD students and post docs, Nordic Oikos meeting in Iceland March 2020

Send an email to apply for scholarship for the Oikos Finland secretary (Leena Lindström). Specify your talk or poster title and why you should get the funding. Scholarships will be paid after the conference.
