Have to share these good news: Kone Foundation has made an offer to buy the rest of Sanginjoki Forest area (next to recently established 1126 ha Isokangas nature reserve) from the City of Oulu for nature protection purposes. If the city accepts the offer, a nature reserve of 2600 hectares will be formed - and in the future, a national park could possibly be established  in this area.

And great  thanks to all of you, who have in many ways supported the 16-yr-long campaign for protection of Sanginjoki Forest!
