Dear colleagues,
an update from the organizing committee of the 4th Finnish Molecular Ecology and Evolution meeting before we all disappear for well-earned holidays:
the meeting is planned to take place face-to-face 5-7th Oct 2021, at the Rokua Health and Spa (https://www.rokua.com/) ca. 80km from Oulu. We will organize a bus transport from central Oulu. We will start in the afternoon on the 5th, and finish at lunch on the 7th to facilitate travel to and from Oulu.
The program will consist of plenary talks by invited speakers and contributed talks and posters. The emphasis in presentations will be in junior scientists - this is an excellent opportunity to present your work in a friendly atmosphere! And of course there will be time for networking, catching up, and enjoying the scenery at Rokua!
We are also very happy to announce that the original set of invited speakers we had planned for 2020 is able to join us on the new dates: Prof. emer. Registration and abstract submission deadline will be 31st August. The exact prices of registration (which will include accommodation, meals and bus transport between Oulu and Rokua) are still under consideration as we are waiting to hear from further funding.
We will naturally closely monitor the pandemic situation and if it looks like this can't be done safely and according to the regulations in place at the time from authorities and the University of Oulu, we will take due action.
