Welcome to Natural Sciences for Sustainability 2023 conference!

Conference is organized 14th-16th June 2023 at the University of Jyväskylä, Agora building. The program of the conference contains parallel sessions in environmental sciences, NMR spectroscopy, and organic/pharmaceutical chemistry. Social activities include free get-together event and a boat trip to Savutuvan Apaja conference dinner. Hope to see you all in Jyväskylä! Abstract submission is opened.

Environmental themes include - but are not restricted to - circular science, carbon sequestration in soil and sediments, microplastics and toxicology assessment. The public may also participate in the broadcast by Prof. Ari Väisänen (in Finnish) summarizing opportunities in recycling.  The conference continues the tradition of Environmental Sciences Days, the Finnish NMR symposium series and the “Chemical Sciences in Biological Challenges” conference. Friday program includes option to participate in the Finnish Stable Isotope Users meeting with a visit to local mass spectrometry laboratory, sponsored by Thermo Fisher.

The Finnish Society of Environmental Sciences grants ten free conference tickets for MSc and PhD students. Please send a brief application and potential abstract to Suvi.K.Ruuskanen@jyu.fi by 30.4.2023.
