Hei Luonnontieteilijät,
Täällä teitä lähestyy tiedekuntamme
digimentori ja toivottaa juuri sinulle mukavaa alkanutta vuotta. ☀️Oulun yliopiston
jokaisessa tiedekunnassa toimii yksi digimentori, jonka tehtävänkuva on luotu vastaamaan muun muassa Oulun yliopiston uuden strategian ja kansallisen koulutuksen muutosvaiheen tarpeisiin.
'Oulun yliopistossa tähdätään erinomaiseen opiskelijakokemukseen ja joustavien opiskelumahdollisuuksien lisäämiseen. Tavoitteena on olla edelläkävijä koulutuksen ja työn tekemisen digitaalisessa murroksessa.'
Työnkuvaamme kuuluu esimerkiksi osallistuminen yliopiston ja tiedekunnan digipedagogisiin kehittämistehtäviin sekä viestintä tiedekuntaan ja sieltä eteenpäin.
Yksi tärkeistä tehtävistämme on tiedekuntamme
digitalisaatio-ohjelman laatiminen. Tiedekuntakohtaisen koulutuksen digitalisaatio-ohjelman tarkoitus on rakentaa tiedekunnan sisällä ja tiedekuntien yhteistyönä koko tiedeyhteisössä yhteisymmärrystä siitä, miltä tiedekunnan koulutuksen digitalisaatiomaisema
näyttää tällä hetkellä ja mihin suuntaan ollaan yhdessä kulkemassa. Digitalisaatio-ohjelman tavoitteena on nostaa tietoisuutta jo tehdystä hyvästä työstä, eli esimerkiksi tiedekunnan vahvuuksista ja osaamisen huipuista, esimerkillisistä teoista ja toimista
tai laadukkaista verkkokoulutuksista ja kehittämistöistä. Koulutuksen digitalisaatio-ohjelma myös nostaa esiin kehityksen kannalta tärkeimmät askeleet eteenpäin: mitä konkreettista tehdään seuraavan vuoden aikana, että tiedekunnan koulutustoiminta vastaa kysyntään
ja tarpeeseen joustaviin koulutusratkaisuihin ja oppijalähtöisyyteen muuttuvassa yhteiskunnassa. Digitalisaatio-ohjelma on yhdessä muotoiltu ja nykyhetkeen perustuva linjapaperi, jota päivitetään vuosittain. Digitalisaatio-ohjelman taustalla vaikuttavat muun
muassa Korkeakoulutuksen ja tutkimuksen visio 2030,
Digivisio 2030 -hankkeen työ ja Oulun yliopiston sitoutuminen hankkeen valtakunnallisiin tavoitteisiin.

Digimentorin tärkeänä tehtävänä on myös kehittää tiedekunnan digipedagogista osaamista, johon liittyy digitalisaatio-ohjelman lisäksi
koko tiedekunnan opetushenkilöstölle tarkoitettu digipedagogisen osaamisen kartoituksen kysely, tänä vuonna myös osana kehityskeskustelua:

"Kyselyn tavoitteena on lisätä opetushenkilöstön työhyvinvointia tekemällä osaamista näkyväksi."
Kyselystä saatavaa koostetta hyödynnetään aidosti tiedekunnassa ja digitalisaatio-ohjelman laadinnassa. Ohjeet kyselyyn vastaamiseen jaetaan myöhemmin. Mikäli teillä herää kysymyksiä, palloteltavia teemoja vaikkapa kurssiasioista tai ajatuksia digipedagogiikkaan
liittyen, minuun voi olla yhteydessä. Varaillaan vaikka yhteistä aikaa keskusteluun!

Here comes a message from our faculty's
digimentor, wishing you a pleasant start to the year. ☀️ In every faculty at the
University of Oulu, there is a digimentor, whose role has been created to meet the needs of the University's new strategy and the national education transformation.
'The University of Oulu aims for an excellent student experience and increasing flexible learning opportunities. The goal is to be a pioneer in the digital transformation of education and work.' Digimentors participate in the University ‘s and faculty's
digital pedagogical development tasks and communicate within and beyond the faculty.
One of the important tasks in digimentor’s work is to create our faculty's
digitalisation program. The purpose of the faculty-specific education digitalisation program is to build understanding within the faculty and through collaboration among the entire academic community of what the current digital landscape of the faculty's
education looks like and where we are collectively heading. The goal of the digitalisation program is to raise awareness of the good work already done, such as the faculty's strengths and peaks of expertise, exemplary deeds and actions, or high-quality online
education and development efforts. The education digitalisation program also highlights the most important steps forward for development: what specific actions will be taken in the next year to ensure that the faculty's educational activities meet the demand
for flexible training solutions and learner-centric approaches in a really changing society. The digitalization program is a collectively created and current-state-based policy document that is updated annually. The background of the digitalisation program
is influenced by, among other things, Vision 2030 - OKM - Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland, the work of the
Digivisio2030, and the University of Oulu's commitment to the project's national goals.
On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 1-4 PM, we are organizing an event related to the preparation
of the digitalisation program:

Another important task of the digimentor is to develop the faculty's digital pedagogical competence, which includes
a survey on digital pedagogical competence for the entire teaching staff of the faculty, this year also as part of the development discussion:

"The survey enables teaching staff to examine their personal strengths and areas for development in in terms of basic digital pedagogical skills and other
current digital pedagogical topics at the University of Oulu."
The summary obtained from the survey will be genuinely utilized within the faculty and in the formulation of the digitalization
