en valitettavasti pääse osallistumaan kokoukseen, mutta huutelen täältä rapakon takaa kuitenkin sen verran, että eikös suorituspaikka ainakin Akatemian rahoituksen osalta sitoudu seuraavaan?
“Mikäli Suomen Akatemia myöntää rahoitusta, edellä mainittu yliopisto, tutkimuslaitos tai muu organisaatio sitoutuu käyttämään sitä myönnettyyn tarkoitukseen noudattaen Akatemian asettamia ehtoja ja ohjeita. Suorituspaikka sitoutuu omalta osaltaan hankkeen rahoittamiseen ja hallinnointiin sekä takaa hankkeen toteuttamisen perusedellytykset. Nämä määräytyvät tutkimuksen luonteen perusteella, mutta tavanomaiset perusedellytykset ovat samat kuin laitoksen muilla tutkijoilla eli työskentely- ja laboratoriotilat, laitteet (ml. atk), tietoliikenne-, puhelin-, posti-, kopiointi- ja kirjastopalvelujen käyttömahdollisuus.”

Lähinnä asialistalla vanhentuvat työasemat. Tietohallinto poistaa tietoliikenneverkosta 14.1.2020 mennessä ne vanhat Windows-työasemat, joita ei voida päivittää Windows 10 –käyttöjärjestelmään: meillä näitä koneita on 33 kpl (ks. Excel lista; käyttäjätieto osin vanhentunut). Meillä on aikaisemmin pystytty kierrättämään vanhoja koneita jatko-opiskelijoille ja tohtoritutkijoille. Meillä ei ole tässä tilanteessa mahdollisuutta hankkia/liisata laitteita jatko-opiskelijoille tai postdoceille vaan ryhmien pitää huolehtia laitteiden hankkimisesta. Keskustellaan tästä yksikköpalaverissa.

On the agenda are expiring workstations. By January 14, 2020, the IT administration will remove those old Windows workstations that cannot be upgraded to Windows 10: we have 33 of those computers (see Excel list; user information partially obsolete). We have previously been able to recycle old machines for postgraduate students and doctoral candidates. In this situation, we do not have the opportunity to acquire / lease compters for postgraduate students or postdocs, i.e. the research groups must take care of purchasing the equipment. Let's discuss on this in the unit meeting.
