Koulutus: Kuinka tehdä hyvä Horisontti Eurooppa konsortiohakemus / Live training: How to manage a Horizon Europe Consortium (Pillar II) Proposal?

Wednesday 18.1. at 9.00-12.30 (Kumina)

Morning Coffee

9.00-12.00 Presentation: How to Manage a Proposal?

Setting up a proposal is a project in itself with deliverables, milestones, partners and lots of time spent. Getting so many people with different backgrounds, motivations and understanding of the concept to work together efficiently can be a daunting task. This presentation will help you to get a better grip on some of the key aspects such as setting up a consortium, dividing tasks and defining deadlines, SMART KPIs, barriers, risks, different types of budget preparation etc. A special focus will be put on building the lump sum budgets.

Please note that in addition to this presentation,  two workshops are organised, one for coordinators who are currently preparing a proposal for a HE call in 2023 and another for researchers, who do not have a call in their minds but are interested to build a mock proposal.  Participation in either of the workshops requires participation in the presentation.

12.00-13.00 Lunch break

13.00-16.00 Workshop 1: Matching Ideas and Calls (for proposal coordinators who are preparing a proposal for a HE call in 2023 only)

In this hands-on workshop participants will do a detailed ‘fit to call’ exercise on their concrete project ideas and identified calls. They will jointly read the identified call requirements, then list the critical pieces of information. After that, they will assess what are the missing elements from their project ideas and how they can be tackled.

Thursday 19.1. at 13.00 – 16.00 (Kumina)

Workshop 2: Building a Horizon Europe mock proposal (for everyone interested)

In this hands-on workshop participants design the entire mock proposal. First, we will review the requirements of the ‘call’. Then, in groups, participants will do the call analysis and concept development; define the project objectives, KPIs, main impacts, and outcomes; do the Work Plan, milestones, deliverables, risks, barriers & requirements. The workshop does not require prior project ideas or identified calls.

The workshop is highly interactive and consists of quizzes, writing exercises, group work. Two trainers will work together to supervise and help groups. Participants will receive the following support material: master slides, and LGI tools to help setting up the proposal.
