Join us for our Monthly Community Gathering as we shine a spotlight on Academic Responsibility, focusing on the urgent issue of Children's Rights in Gaza. In this engaging and thought-provoking event, we delve into the ethical obligation of academia to address the challenges faced by children in conflict zones. 

Through insightful discussions, presentations, and interactive dialogue, we aim to raise awareness and foster a deeper understanding of the plight of these vulnerable populations. Together, we explore how academic research and advocacy can play a pivotal role in advocating for the rights and well-being of children in Gaza, emphasizing the importance of collective action and social responsibility.

Guest Speaker: Pauliina Rautio, Senior Research Fellow at Oulu University, on the Children Rights in Gaza and Our Global Social Responsibility to speak up

• Information on the challenges faced by children in the region and how education can empower them.

Academic Responsibility Spotlight is a monthly community gathering series organized by University of Oulu students and staff, held on the last Tuesday of every month.

- Tietoa Gazan nykytilanteesta, erityisesti lasten siviiliuhreista sodan ja nälänhädän seurauksena.
- Tietoa alueen lasten kohtaamista haasteista ja siitä, miten koulutus auttaa heitä.
- Vuorovaikutteinen osuus, joka kannustaa yhteisöä osallistumaan ja keskustelemaan.
- Mahdollisuudet verkostoitua samanmielisten yksilöiden kanssa, jotka ovat intohimoisia sosiaalisen oikeudenmukaisuuden ja koulutuksen puolestapuhujia.

Akateemisen Vastuun Valokeilassa on Oulun yliopiston opiskelijoiden ja henkilökunnan järjestämä kuukausittainen yhteisökokoontumissarja, joka pidetään joka kuukauden viimeisenä tiistaina.
