Hi,

Do you want to learn new skills from intellectual property rights (copyright, patents, inventions) and agreements (confidentiality, MTA, DTA, publishing etc.)?

Seize the opportunity by participating in our fall training sessions. We offer both concise webinars and more extensive, credit-rated courses.

Our offering can be found here.

Two highlights:

  1. InnoWebinar 26 Aug at 3-4 pm, in English: >From Idea to Innovation - Reporting, Funding, and Commercializing an Invention

Inventions play a crucial role in research projects as they can lead to new business opportunities. Did you know that you can receive rewards for your inventions, and the university may provide funding for the initial implementation of an idea or invention?

Same webinar will be kept in Finnish on 5th Sep at 10-11.

I recommend this webinar especially to all who are working, coordinating, or leading Business Finland, EU or company funded projects. There inventions are part of results that need to be reported to the funder.

  1. New Course: Get to know agreements! 0.5 ETCS 18.9.-27.11.2024 (online)

Nowadays, research is often conducted in collaboration with both academic institutions and companies, using various funding sources. As a result, it's often necessary to formalize agreements between the parties involved by creating a written contract. For the first time, you can learn more about contract matters.

The course aims to teach why contracts are necessary, what types of contracts are used, what obligations contracts impose on a researcher’s work, and what the key elements of contracts are. The course will not go through contract clauses in detail but will highlight the essential points that a researcher should know about contracts.

Welcome to learn new skills!

Best wishes,

Maarit
