Online ERC training 20.-21.5.2024

Research and Project Services, together with the ERC consultancy company Yellow Research, are organising an online training on 20-21 May on how to write a successful Horizon Europe ERC grant proposal.

This two-part webinar-form training provides a roadmap to submission, tackling stumbling blocks that you, as Principal Investigator (PI), may have when writing your ERC grant application. This training will focus on creating the right mindset for submitting a proposal, covering the ERC objectives and evaluation criteria, what the panels expect, how to strategically approach the design of the project, and how to generate a convincing argumentation that will allow the reviewers to understand the feasibility of your ambitious research project. This training will also guide participants systematically through the different parts of the proposal writing, addressing the critical elements for writing the CV part, extended synopsis and B2.

Please note that training lasts for two days:

Monday 20 May, 9:30-12:00 and
Tuesday 21 May, 9:30-12:00

The training will be recorded, and the recordings will be made available to the registered participants.

How to coordinate and write an excellent HE consortium proposal -training 23.5.2024 at 13.00-16.00 (Tellus Stage)

Research and Project Services is organizing a training on proposal writing and coordination to support researchers interested in Horizon Europe (HE) consortium projects.
This training is open to all researchers, whether you are just learning about EU projects or already participated in them. We are concentrating on Research and Innovation/ Innovation project proposals.

Setting up a proposal is a project in itself. It starts with finding a suitable call and understanding the call text. Setting up the objectives and writing the proposal is a time-consuming exercise.
In this training, we will give you guidance on how to avoid the common pitfalls, and how to write the different sections of the proposal (Excellence, Impact and Implementation). We will discuss SMART objectives, Key Performance Indicators, key impact pathways, deliverables, milestones, risks and barriers and obstacles.  As coordinator, you also need to find the right partners and make sure they work together despite their different backgrounds and motivations. We will discuss the tasks of a coordinator, the most important tools, how to keep the schedule and how to divide the work in order not to become overwhelmed by the preparation.

Coffee and refreshments will be served to participants.
