Hello all,

This mail concerns people who work in the Ecology & Genetics unit between the G and J galleries. I write to you because I am the responsible person of security in the unit (if you want to get this job, just contact me…).

There will be a fire in the unit today at 1 pm. Luckily this is a fake fire. ALL people in the unit, both in the first and the second floor, will leave the unit immediately after the alarm starts. Me, Helmi Kuittinen, Kari Koivula (2^nd floor) and Taina Uusitalo and her assistants (1^st floor) will take care that no one stays in the unit. Also, you DO NOT use this situation and go to the coffee break, but instead you go to the meeting place. The meeting place is at the parking place diagonally left from the gate J.

It would be highly desirable that you familiarize with the rescue plan of the unit. There is a printed plan in the second floors middle hall. This is also available in Notio:

Additionally, each person should know the where the extinguishers (water hoses) are situated. In the 2^nd floor, there are three: at both ends of the gallery and in the middle hall. In the same places, you can also find a small box with a fire alarm button (than can be used to make an alarm in case of emergency).

Lyhyesti suomeksi: tänään meillä on paloharjoitus klo. 13. Palohälytyksen kuuluessa kaikki yksiköstä kokoontuvat J-oven edessä vasemmalla olevalle parkkipaikalle. Harjoitus kestää 15-20 minuuttia. Kiinnittäkää huomiota sammuttimien sijaintiin työpaikallanne. Toisessa kerroksessa vesiletkuja on kolme: molemmissa päissä käytävää ja keskellä käytävää aulassa. Lukekaa iltaisin laitoksen pelastussuunnitelmaa. Painettuna se löytyy 2. kerroksen keskiaulasta.
