Dear Bioeconomy friends and students,
I am inviting you, your friends and colleagues who are bioeconomy enthusiasts and those curious, to join us virtually on 14 October 2020 for the CELEBioEconomy Celebration, from 12:30 – 17:40.
Although the event is organized by the Czech Republic (CEITEC, project CELEBio) there are some very interesting parts (in the English language, which I encourage you to join):
Nelo Emerencia (Director Programming at Bio-based Industries Consortium) will talk about The bio-based industry builds on BBI JU in a new partnership with the Commission. Pilar Llorente Ruiz de Azua (Project coordinator for CELEBio, BBI JU) has a presentation about Tackling tomorrow’s challenges through the BBI-JU programme, also Peter Canciani (CEI Italy) and Markus Dettenhofer (CEITEC Executive Director) will share their interesting views about the field of bioeconomy. The aim of the programme will be to enable to move forward with the bioeconomy agenda in order to generate new economic opportunities and jobs from an increase in the bio-based and green businesses, through high added value bio-based products and services while securing the operating conditions for the sustainability of nature’s ecosystems.
The BioEconomy Celebration will inform the participants of the current and future activities of the BBI-JU, provide an overview of the findings of the CELEBio project, within the CEE region generally, and Czech Republic specifically. We will then have inspirational bioeconomy talks from 4 companiess located in different regions of the world (Finland, French, Costa Rica, Californa).
The final session, will be the BioEconomy Underground competition, for starting bioeconomists, with the awarding of the BioEconomy Underground Prize (10.000CzK).
