Regarding the strategy, I see the description of the key research areas as problematic. There is too much emphasis on physics and compared to other research areas, our description (Ecology and genetics) is in my opinion way too broad. I think it would be good
if we think of ways to specify our research area a bit. For example:
Population and community ecology
Ecological and evolutionary genomics
In addition, this description mentions only natural resources and genomics that concern biology:
"Our emerging research themes include the climate of the Arctic region, natural resources, and development of remote areas, the digital future, genomics, as well as computational data analysis, and dynamics."
I think our Profi6 programme "Biodiverse Anthropocenes" should be highlighted, not necessarily with these exact words, but somehow anyway, as an emerging research theme, and perhaps also something else.
It would be great to hear your suggestions in the unit meeting at 14.00.
