Aihe: Finland is likely to be missed from a cross-cultural study

Dear friends and colleagues,

A large-scale cross-cultural study of love, beauty and jealousy is now being conducted in 157 countries. Among these, 40 countries already passed the threshold of 200 respondents, which is needed to include the country-specific data in the final analysis.

Unfortunately, Finland with 34 respondents (as on 30 May 2021) is far from this threshold value. If the number of respondents does not reach 200 within a couple of weeks, then Finland will be missed from this project. Therefore I decided to contact you (despite this is not your research field, and all of you are extremely busy people) and ask for your help. The anonymous questionnaire will take 20-25 minutes to complete. Your contribution is critical to account for the attitudes of the Finnish people and thus broaden the scope of the study.

I would be extremely grateful if you distribute the link to the questionnaire among your students and colleagues, through your organizations mailing lists and/or via social networks (in Finnish and/or Swedish).

Pyydämme teitä ystävällisesti osallistumaan monikulttuuriseen tutkimukseemme. Tämä tutkimus on osa laajaa projektia, joka suoritetaan yli 150:ssä maassa ympäri maailmaa. Kyselyn täyttäminen kestää 20-25 minuuttia. Arvostaisimme osallistumistanne, koska se mahdollistaisi kulttuurien välisten samankaltaisuuksien ja erojen löytämisen tutkittavissa ilmiöissä.
