Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowshipshttp://ec.europa.eu/research/mariecurieactions/actions/individual-fellowships_en (MSCA IF) provide grants for experienced researchers to support their mobility, research projects and training both within and outside of Europe. The scheme covers all research areas and is targeted at researchers with a doctoral degree or at least four years’ full-time research experience by the time of the call deadline September 2020. MSCA Individual Fellowship proposal is prepared and submitted by the individual researcher together with the host organisation.
Research Support Services would like to help research units/groups interested in hosting a fellow to advertise the possibilities they offer to international researchers. A dedicated website marketing the MSCA Individual Fellowship opportunities the University of Oulu is offering is currently being updated and will be launched before the MSCA IF Call 2020 will open 11.4.2020. If you are interested in having the description of your group published on the website, please fill in the Expression of Interest -templatehttps://patio.oulu.fi/en/services-and-instructions/research-support/funding-instruments/horizon-2020-marie-sklodowska-curie (the parts marked in yellow) by 3 April and return the template to anne.salmi@oulu.fimailto:anne.salmi@oulu.fi. Research Support Services will compile the descriptions on the website and promote them through international platforms and networks for researcher mobility (e.g. Net4Mobility, EURAXESS). In addition, the groups are encouraged to use their own field specific connections to spread the announcement to attract suitable candidates.
During the spring/summer, the Research Support Services will organize MSCA IF info sessions and support the proposal preparations until the September deadline. More details about the events and process will follow soon.
Note: The Expression of Interest to host a fellow is not binding; supervisors will make the final decision whether or not to apply for MSCA IF with the candidate. However, should you decide to apply, we highly recommend you to get in touch with the Research Funding Specialist of your faculty who can help you with verifying the eligibility of the candidate and with the proposal preparation in general.
