Dear Jouni, Happy New Year! At the end of last year, I mentioned that I had a student who is at the tail-end of her PhD and would be interested to have a job in Europe while she writes up her thesis. Her name is Fríða Jóhannesdóttir, and she would be superb as a research technician, as a teacher of undergraduate or masters level teaching in biology, and as a curatorial assistant in the museum (specimen preparation and care, filing of records etc.). In other words, she is a very versatile and able individual. She has been a delight to have in my lab, hard-working and a team player. I attach her cv. She would be available to work from 1 September 2015, and would ideally like to find a position that lasts one year. I would be very grateful if there were any possibilities for her in Oulu, at the university or one of the institutes associated with it. Being Icelandic, she would be very interested to work in another Nordic country! Fríða would be very happy to talk to anyone by skype if there may be possible options to discuss.
