Citizen science in mycology - the Finnish Fungal Atlas and its implications

In 2016-2021, the Finnish Fungi Atlas project was carried out in Finland in cooperation with Botanical museums and Mycological associations. It made it easy for everyone to do mushroom observations. The culture of observations has changed and this affects the knowledge about species and nature. Tapio Kekki will present the change in the way Sarcosoma globosum (Witches Cauldron) is observed and how the collection of national fungal sequence data is done with citizen scientists.
