Patentti ja tuotesuojaus liiketoiminnassa - kurssi Oletko saanut mielenkiintoisia tuloksia, jotka voisi kaupallistaa? Haluatko oppia lisää keksinnöistä ja niiden suojauksesta sekä kaupallistamisesta? Miten tunnistan keksinnön? Milloin se kannattaa patentoida? Mistä löydän tietoa patenteista? Mikä merkitys patenteilla on liiketoiminnassa? Entä miten tekijänoikeudet tulee huomioida niin tutkimuksessa kuin liiketoiminnassa? Innovaatiopalvelut järjestää yhdessä Tuotantotalouden osaston kanssa kurssin "Patentti ja tuotesuojaus liiketoiminnassa". Kurssi on laajuudeltaan joko 2 tai 5 op ja se alkaa 23.1. to klo 13.15 Linnanmaalla salissa SÄ111. Kurssia voi seurata myös etäyhteyden kautta osoitteessa: http://connectpro.oulu.fi/patentti. Subject: [Ltkhkunta] SOLE TM SOLE suljetaan elokuun osalta keskiviikkona 3.9.2014, joka on myös viimeinen hyväksymispäivä. Elokuun tunnit pitää kirjata SOLEeen viimeistään maanantaina 1.9.2014, koska palvelupisteelle pitää jäädä aikaa tarkastaa projekteille kirjatut tunnit ja pyytää mahdolliset korjaukset ja täydennykset. HUOM!!!! SOLEen tehdään esilukitus tiistaina 2.9. 2014 eli peruskäyttäjät eivät pysty kirjaamaan tuntejaan enää keskiviikkona 3.9.2014. Samalla muistutan myös SUUNNITELMIEN tekemisestä. Kokonaistyöajassa olevien, perusrahalla palkattujen tutkijoiden ja opettajien tulee tehdä suunnitelma, joka koskee joko syyslukukautta 1.8. -31.12.2014 tai koko lukuvuotta 1.8.2014 - 31.7.2015, työsopimuksesta riippuen. Kun olette tehneet suunnitelmanne valmiiksi, niin ilmoittakaa laitoksenne esimiehelle, että hän voi käydä hyväksymässä suunnitelman, jolloin tunnit kirjautuvat kuukausittain järjestelmään. Jos tutkija tai opettaja on lukukauden tai lukuvuoden aikana palkattuna projektilta, vaikkapa vain viikon, niin hänen on parasta tehdä kirjaukset viikottaisina/päivittäisinä. HUOM! Valmiista suunnitelmasta ei mene sähköposti-ilmoitusta esimiehelle, vaan suunnitelman tekijän pitää muistaa ilmoittaa, että suunnitelman voi käydä vahvistamassa. Next seminar on Thursday September 25 14:00 – 15:30 Seminar room F101 Prof Juan-Pablo Casas UCL & LSHTM, London, UK Prof Casas will present interesting new results & ideas in the field of metabolic phenotyping, genetics & causality analyses via Mendelian Randomisation – a more detailed title will be announced later. Professor Juan Pablo-Casas qualified in Medicine in 1999 and continued to train in cardiovascular science. In the UK, he worked initially as a Clinical Research Fellow in the Centre for Clinical Pharmacology at UCL and joined the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSTHM) in April 2005. Since April 2009 he split his time between the LSTHM and the University College London (UCL). At LSTHM, he works as co-director of the British Women's Heart & Health Study and Deputy Co-ordinator editor of the Cochrane Heart Group. At UCL, he works as a Reader in Genetic Epidemiology at the Institute of Cardiovascular Science. His major interest is in disease aetiology in non-communicable disease with focus on cardiovascular disease and pre-eclampsia. Prof Casas is a key investigator in the UCLEB Consortium (http://computationalmedicine.fi/collaboration#UCLEB). Prof Casas has recently published papers, for example, in BMJ, Nat Commun, JAMA Psychiatry, Am J Hum Genet, Eur Heart J, Hum Mol Genet, Nat Genet, JACC, PLoS Med, Int J Epidemiol, Circ Cardiovasc Genet, Lancet & JAMA. Voitteko käydä omanne läpi, siirtää omalle koneelle ja/tai poistaa tarpeettomat mahdollista ohjelmanpäivitystä varten, jonka yhteydessä tiedostoja EI SIIRRETÄ, kiitos. Our Zeiss fluorescence microscopy computer has a lot of figure files that are not in use. Please, check your files, move them to your own computer and/or remove the unnecessary ones . The program will be updated soon and the existing files will disappear. -Tiina

Tiedoksi/For your information! -Tiina From: Veli-Pekka Ronkainen Sent: 21. elokuuta 2014 11:45 Subject: Important info for BCO light microscopy users Dear LM users, A new busy microscopy season is about to start, and many of you are struggling to find suitable microscopy times for your experiments. We try to alleviate that issue by bringing some important changes in to our practices and user policy. The lack of free microscopy time has been partly due to continuous misuse of the reservation system. - Users have reserved more time than they really need "to be on the safe side". - There have been also totally unused reservations, without an OBLIGATORY cancellation of the time not needed. - These "empty reservations" lead to unacceptable, non-efficient use of our limited capacity. Cancellations have to be done as early as possible, but from now on at least 1h BEFORE THE RESERVATION STARTS. It is also necessary to revise the reservation time from the start/end, if a user does not need the reserved time in whole. If these problems still persist in the future, we are forced to change our user policy so that the microscope usage will be charged according to the reserved time, NOT the actual usage hours. >From now on, a reservation without a POST-CONFIRMATION of the actual usage hours (used or just non-cancelled) will be marked as used in Asimov. Usage will be charged according to the whole reservation time. It is important that microscopes are turned off by the last user of the day. It is URGENT to check the up-to-date reservation status from Asimov before finishing a session and turning off the system. Also in that sense it is important to cancel not needed reservations beforehand. If the microscope is left turned on unnecessarily e.g. overnight, running time will be charged from the last user, or from the later user who made an unused reservation without a prior cancellation, and did not appear. Overnight time-lapse experiments should be run outside the office hours, and long-term multi-day experiments should be started on Friday afternoons and run over weekends. The Management Group of UniOGS decided (9.6.2014: 4/2014, 5 §) to allocate these funds to contribute to the salaries of doctoral candidates for up to 6 months during the final year of their doctoral training. UniOGS now opens a call for applicants for funding (2500€/month) for a period of up to 6 months during the final year of doctoral training, leading to a doctoral degree from the University of Oulu in 2015. The maximum total funding allocated through this call is for 132 months, and is to be used during 2015. Applicants are required to have active doctoral study rights at the University of Oulu, be registered in UniOGS, and be in the final phase of their training, such that they can reasonably expect to complete the doctoral degree in 2015. Applicants selected to receive the funding are required to work full-time on the finalization of the doctoral degree during the period of funding.
