Helmikuun 2021 alkuun mennessä tallenteita julkaisuarkistoon on kertynyt jo yli 7900. Yhteensä rinnakkaistallenteita ladattiin vuonna 2020 yli 5,7 miljoonaa kertaa. Pääosin rinnakkaistallenteet ovat tutkimusartikkeleita, mutta myös muita julkaisutyyppejä, kuten raportteja ja abstrakteja on rinnakkaistallennettu. Artikkelit saavat huomiota ja löytävät lukijoita rinnakkaistallenteiden kautta. Kaikki viisi LTK:n ladatuinta rinnakkkaistallennetta on alun perin julkaistu maksumuurin takana, mutta yllättävää kyllä, myös avoimena julkaistuja artikkeleita ladataan Jultikasta. Lääketieteen puolella myös suomenkieliset artikkelit nousevat ladatuimpien listalle. Lista ladatuimmista LTK:n rinnakkaisteista liitteenä. By February 2021, more than 7900 self-archived versions of articles have been deposited into our repository. In total, self-archived articles were downloaded more than 5,7 million times last year. Most of the self-archived articles are research publications, but they also include other publication types, such as reports and abstracts. Articles receive attention and readers via self-archived versions. Five most downloaded self-archived versions of Faculty of Medicine articles were published behind the paywall (available only for subscribers) but surprisingly also articles published open access were downloaded from Jultika repository. Also, articles published in Finnish were popular. Please find the list for the most downloaded self-archived version of Faculty of Medicine articles as attached. Please go through your folders asap (and also proactively) in NAS and remove + transfer your images as soon as possible or at latest on March 5th. Let us know if this deadline causes insurmountable problems. After that all image files older than 2 month will be permanently removed by the Biobank staff. The researchers are strongly advised to see to that their images will be cleared from NAS promptly within 1 month of the scanning date. NAS has a limited space of 10 Tb (which fills up quite quickly) and thus it is not intended for long term storage of images. Please note that the university IT-services offers backed-up storage space (inquire them for current prices). Dear researchers, The university will launch a pilot for supporting researchers coordinating a Horizon Europe proposal. This is an excellent possibility for everyone who would like to coordinate a proposal and needs support with the process. Please apply if you are interested and read more details below. Best regards, Emma Enhanced Support for coordinating Horizon Europe proposals – Pilot UOulu has launched a pilot project to offer enhanced support for researchers aiming to coordinate a Horizon Europe (HEU) consortium project. If you are interested in coordinating a Horizon Europe consortium project but need extra hands, read this. The enhanced support is directed mainly at pre-selected Research and Innovation Action (RIA) calls opening in 2021, but you can also suggest a call of your choice. The support includes two part-time resources from research and project support services (faculty’s research funding specialist and HEU specialist) who will help in building the consortium, take care of all the administrative work (organise meetings, divide and schedule tasks, collect inputs from partners and deliver certain parts of application as well take care of the electric forms etc.) and review and comment the application. In addition, approximately three months’ salary for a researcher (either for the consortium leader or to a researcher assisting the leader) is being paid. Two pilot projects will be started this year and the selected participants will be chosen among the interested based on the following criteria: The suitability of the research idea to the selected call, strengths of the potential partners, previous experience from consortium projects (not necessarily from EU projects) and finally and most importantly motivation and commitment of the consortium leader. The final selection will be done by the rectors. The Work Programme for 2021-2022 is currently being drafted and the first calls are expected to open in April with deadlines in the late summer 2021. Please note that the call contents are subject to change and that the deadlines have not yet been confirmed.
