Health and Biosciences Doctoral programme - Internal Call for Proposals for Field Specific Courses and other Doctoral Training Activities 2022 Link to the website >>><https://www.oulu.fi/en/science-arctic-attitude/graduate-school/organisation…> Health and Biosciences Doctoral Programme (HBS-DP) will allocate funding to be used during the year 2022 to organize doctoral training courses or other training activities within the following Doctoral Degree Programmes: Medicine, Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, Health Sciences, Dentistry, and Biology. The proposed doctoral training activities may comprise e.g. field-specific courses, symposia, workshops or alike targeted to doctoral students. Joint or methodological courses suitable for several disciplines and courses/events arranged in local, national or international cooperation are also applicable. For the 2022 HBS-DP encourages applicants to plan courses that enables PhD students’ participation also with remote connection. However, fully face-to-face or/and practical course proposals are also welcome. Practical arrangements of the courses are expected to be taken care of by the responsible course organizer (research unit, research group etc.). All cost covered by the doctoral programme (DP) funding must be accepted by the DP beforehand. ECTS credits from the courses should be defined in the proposal according to UniOGS recommendations<https://www.oulu.fi/en/science-arctic-attitude/graduate-school/thesis-and-s…>. The proposal should contain lectures, possible reading materials or possible optional assignments thus the course could give minimum 0.5 credit points. If the number of course participants is limited, the priority is for the health and biosciences doctoral students within the University of Oulu. Jaettavana on yhteensä 130 000 euroa käytettäväksi tutkimustyöhön vuoden 2022 aikana. Haettavat paikat on suunnattu kliinikkotutkijoille. Tehtävä sisältää enintään 6 kk tutkimustyötä ja lopun ajasta hakija tekee kliinistä työtä hänen omassa kliinisessä työtehtävässään. Post doc -tutkijoiden tehtävät täytetään aikaisintaan helmikuussa 2022. Hakemukset arvioidaan PPSHP:n ja Oulun yliopiston ulkopuolisen asiantuntijapaneelin toimesta. Valinta tehdään arviointitulosten sekä MRC Oulun johtokunnan kokonaisarvion perusteella. Haun tulokset ilmoitetaan aikaisintaan helmikuussa 2022. Kelpoisuusvaatimuksena on tohtorintutkinto tai dosentuuri jollakin seuraavista aloista: lääketiede, hammaslääketiede, biolääketiede, terveystieteet tai lääketieteen tekniikka tai jokin muu vastaava ala. Tehtävään valitulla tulee olla kliininen työ OYS:ssa tai OYS-ERVA-alueen terveydenhuollon tai tutkimuslaitoksen yksikössä. Valituksi voivat tulla ainoastaan MRC Oulussa toimivat kliinikkotutkijat, joiden tutkimus tukee merkittävästi PPSHP:n tutkimusprofiilia. Lisäksi tutkijoiden toimen on oltava OYS-erva-alueella. Ensisijaisesti tehtävään haetaan omaa tutkimusryhmää perustamassa olevia tai ryhmänjohtajan alkuvaiheessa olevia kliinisiä tutkijoita. Sellaiset henkilöt, joiden tehtäviin kuuluu merkittävässä määrin tutkimustyötä (mm. kliiniset opettajat ja professorit) eivät voi tulla valituksi tehtävään MRC Oulun johtokunnan päätöksen perusteella. Tehtävän menestyksellinen hoitaminen edellyttää sujuvaa englannin kielen taitoa sekä hyviä kommunikointi- ja yhteistyötaitoja. Tehtävää haetaan sähköisen järjestelmän kautta. Hakulomakkeen tulee sisältää seuraavat pdf-muodossa olevat liitteet 1-3, jotka tulee lähettää sähköpostitse osoitteeseen katja.riipinen(at)ppshp.fi. Hakulomakkeesta tulee selkeästi käydä ilmi, kuuluuko hakija MRC Ouluun (ilmoita tutkimusryhmän nimi ja johtaja). Liite 1. Ansioluettelo (enintään kolme sivua) Liite 2. Julkaisuluettelo Liite 3. Tutkimussuunnitelma (enintään kaksi sivua). Tutkimussuunnitelman tulee olla otsikoitu tutkimusta kuvaavalla tavalla, ja sen tulee sisältää seuraavat osiot: a. Tutkimushankkeen tarkoitus ja tavoitteet b. Tutkimushankkeen toteutus (aineisto ja menetelmät) c. Hakijan rooli tutkimushankkeessa d. Tutkimushankkeen eettiset näkökulmat e. Rahoituksen käyttösuunnitelma (summa, joka kattaa hakijan palkan, kaikki palkan sivukulut, sekä kuinka monelle kuukaudelle rahoitusta haetaan) f. Lähteet (eivät sisälly sivumäärään) Rahoituksen saanut PPSHP:n henkilökuntaan kuuluva tutkija voi toimia kokopäiväisenä tai osa-aikaisena tutkijana vapautettuna omasta tehtävästään. Tutkija on palvelussuhteessa PPSHP:iin eikä virkavapautta erikseen anota, jolloin loma-, eläke- ym. edut säilyvät. Tutkija voi halutessaan päivystää OYS-ervalla tutkijakausien aikana. Päivystysajan palkka on henkilön oma varsinainen palkka kaikkine palkkatekijöineen. Tätä varten tulosalueella tehdään tutkijajakson rinnalle lyhytaikainen palvelujakso päivystyksen ajalle. Tutkimusvapaan ajankohdasta tulee sopia erikseen yksikön esimiehen kanssa. PPSHP:n ulkopuolisille tutkijoille tehdään työsopimus PPSHP:n kanssa. Osa-aikaisuusjärjestelyillä voidaan huolehtia siitä, että palvelusuhde omaan organisaatioon säilyy katkeamattomana. Pohjois-Pohjanmaan sairaanhoitopiirissä VTR-tutkijoina toimivien lääkärien palkka on määritelty henkilöasiain käsikirjan kohdassa Palkkaus II.1.9. Muiden kuin lääkäritutkijoiden palkkauksessa noudatetaan KVTES:n ehtoja.
