This is an excellent possibility for everyone who would like to coordinate a proposal and needs support with the process. Please apply if you are interested and read more details below. Best regards, Emma Enhanced Support for coordinating Horizon Europe proposals – Pilot UOulu has launched a pilot project to offer enhanced support for researchers aiming to coordinate a Horizon Europe (HEU) consortium project. If you are interested in coordinating a Horizon Europe consortium project but need extra hands, read this. The enhanced support is directed mainly at pre-selected Research and Innovation Action (RIA) calls opening in 2021, but you can also suggest a call of your choice. The support includes two part-time resources from research and project support services (faculty’s research funding specialist and HEU specialist) who will help in building the consortium, take care of all the administrative work (organise meetings, divide and schedule tasks, collect inputs from partners and deliver certain parts of application as well take care of the electric forms etc.) and review and comment the application. In addition, approximately three months’ salary for a researcher (either for the consortium leader or to a researcher assisting the leader) is being paid. Two pilot projects will be started this year and the selected participants will be chosen among the interested based on the following criteria: The suitability of the research idea to the selected call, strengths of the potential partners, previous experience from consortium projects (not necessarily from EU projects) and finally and most importantly motivation and commitment of the consortium leader. The final selection will be done by the rectors. The Work Programme for 2021-2022 is currently being drafted and the first calls are expected to open in April with deadlines in the late summer 2021. Please note that the call contents are subject to change and that the deadlines have not yet been confirmed. [in English below] Team Finland Knowledge -ohjelman tavoitteena on luoda ja vahvistaa suomalaisten korkeakoulujen yhteistyötä TFK -verkoston valittujen kohdealueiden ja -maiden kanssa sekä muotoilla yhteistyöhön uudenlaisia toimintamalleja. Ohjelma rahoittaa korkeakoulujen koulutusyhteistyötä yhteistyö- ja liikkuvuushankkeiden kautta. TFK-ohjelmaan voivat osallistua kaikki korkeakoulut Suomesta sekä korkeakoulut ohjelman kohdealueilta- ja maista jotka ovat Kiina, Intia, Venäjä, Eteläinen Afrikka, Kaakkois-Aasia ja Latinalainen Amerikka. TFK-ohjelma on avoin kaikille tutkintotasoille sekä kaikille koulutusaloille. Hankkeiden tulee liittyä yhden tai useamman eri tutkintotason koulutusyhteistyöhön. Rahoitettavat hankkeet voivat liittyä yhteen tai useampiin seuraavista koulutusyhteistyön muodoista kumppanikorkeakoulujen välillä: * Yhteiset opintojaksot, kurssit ja intensiivikurssit * Digitaalisen/virtuaalisen opetuksen kehittäminen ja toteuttaminen * Opetussuunnitelmayhteistyö * Yhteis-/kaksoistutkinnot * Liikkuvuus (opettaja-, henkilökunta-, opiskelija- ja/tai harjoittelijaliikkuvuus) * Työelämäyhteistyö Vuonna 2021 ohjelma rahoittaa yhteistyötä Venäjän, Kiinan, Kaakkois-Aasian (Indonesia, Malesia, Singapore, Thaimaa, Vietnam) ja Intian kanssa. Hakukierroksella 2021 hakemusten toimittamisen määräaika on 3.5.2021 Hakemukset tulee valmistella yhteistyössä suomalaisten ja kumppanikorkeakoulujen kanssa. Hakukierroksen 2021 budjetti on noin 1 400 000 € ja sillä voidaan rahoittaa arviolta 20-30 hanketta. Yhden hankkeen saama enimmäistuki voi olla 80 000€. Korkeakoulu voi jättää TFK-ohjelman hakukierroksella haluamansa määrän hakemuksia. The programme funds educational cooperation between higher education institutions through cooperation and mobility projects. The programme is open to all higher education institutions in Finland and in the target regions and countries of the programme which are China, India, Russia, Southern Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America. The programme is open to all degree levels and disciplines. Participating projects must involve educational cooperation at one or several different degree levels. Participating projects can involve one or several of the following forms of educational cooperation between partnering higher education institutions: * Joint study units, courses and intensive courses * The development and realisation of digital/virtual teaching * Curriculum cooperation * Joint/double degrees * Mobility (teacher, staff, student and/or trainee mobility) * Working life cooperation. In 2021, the programme will be funding cooperation with Russia, China, Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and India. The deadline for applications is 3 May 2021. Applications must be prepared in cooperation between Finnish and partnering higher education institutions. The budget for the 2021 application round is about €1,400,000, which can be allocated to an estimated 20–30 projects. The maximum amount of funding that can be awarded to an individual project is €80,000. Higher education institutions can submit any number of applications during the TFK programme’s application round. Novo Nordisk Project grants in Endocrinology and Metabolism – Nordic Region

Dear Researchers, The Novo Nordisk Foundation will open a call for Project grants in Endocrinology and Metabolism for applicants in the Nordic region on April 7. Deadline for the call is June 10. Purpose: The Novo Nordisk Foundation calls for applications within basic and clinical research within the endocrine system and metabolism relating to cellular energy homeostasis. The objective is to promote Nordic research at the highest international level to carry out research projects of 1-3 years duration. Eligibility The research activities applied for must take place at a university, hospital or other non-profit research institution in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden. Principal investigators are eligible to apply, i.e. experienced independent researchers who have already established their own research field and demonstrated the ability to conduct original research at a high international level, or researchers that are in the process of establishing themselves as independent researchers. Applications from Master students, PhD students and postdocs will not be taken into consideration. Funding A total of DKK 80 million is available for the funding of: 1-, 2- and 3-year project grants within the frame of DKK 300.000 – 1.000.000 per budget year.
