Muistutus / reminder: Huomenna perjantaina 9.9. klo 8.30 CRC:n turvallisuuskävely. Kävely kestää muutaman minuutin. Lähdetään liikkeelle kahvihuoneelta. Jos et pääse mukaan, pyydä turvallisuusvastaavaa (Saija Kortetjärvi, Antti Haapalainen, Minna Karjalainen) kertomaan nämä asiat sinulle sopivana aikana. Kävely on pakollinen kaikille! Seminar: Extracellular Vesicles in Health and Disease Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nano- and microsize membrane surrounded structures that are secreted in a context dependent manner by most if not all cells of the human body and likely other species as well. While EVs play a key role in cell signaling and cell communication as a new systemic layer, their role in the pathogenesis, and potential use as tools in diagnostics and therapeutic applications of a number of diseases is currently under intense investigation. This seminar will focus on the latest advances and the future opportunities of EV research related to human health and disease. The seminar is free and open for everybody. Hei, Kun tutkimusryhmään tulee uusi työntekijä tai opiskelija, hänelle tulee kertoa perusasiat laboratoriotyöskentelystä; tutkimusryhmän jäsenten on hoidettava tämä perehdytys. Liitteessä CRC:n ohje uuden työntekijän perehdytykseen. When a new employee/student starts to work here in CRC, she/he should be familiarized with basic rules of lab work. This should be done by the research group. Attached are the instructions on what the new employee/student should know before starting lab work. Minna

Hei, Syyskuussa järjestetään kemikaalikoulutusta; linkki ilmoittautumiseen alla. Jokaisen laboratoriossa työskentelevän tulisi tuntea perusasiat kemikaalien kanssa työskentelystä. CRC:ssä kerätään tietyin väliajoin riskinarviolomakkeet, joissa jokainen työntekijä arvioi omaa altistumistaan kemiallisille vaaratekijöille. Nämä riskinarviot kerätään tämän vuoden lopussa. Hi, Innovation Services is arranging this autumn two courses from intellectual property rights (IP). Copyrights, patents and trademarks are in the news almost daily. IP rights do not have meaning only in business life. Research work produces also IP rights. Come to listen to interesting talks and learn how you can protect and utilize your results more efficiently! Know-how from IP rights is an important part of working life skills.
