As a joint effort of the Biocenter Oulu Doctoral Programme (BCO-DP) and Finnish Doctoral Programme of Population Genetics, we are organizing a workshop on association mapping, which will present lectures to PhD students in medical genetics and population genetics and other related fields on different topics connected with association mapping. Other Ph.D. students or scientists outside these doctoral programs are also welcome to participate.

 

Teachers of the course are true top experts in the field: Dr. Samuli Ripatti (FIMM), Dr. Matti Pirinen (FIMM), Dr. Joseph Terwilliger (Columbia University), Dr. Johanna Vilkki (MTT) and Dr. Mikko Sillanpää (University of Oulu). The workshop will take place at University of Oulu, Linnanmaa campus, Oulu, Finland at April 3-5, 2013. The preliminary program of the course is enclosed. The final programme will appear in the BCO event calendar soon.

 

To register to the course, please contact Anne Vainionpää (anne.vainionpaa@oulu.fi) except for PopGen students who should contact Päivi Leinonen (paivi.h.leinonen@oulu.fi). The last day to register is Friday, March 22th, 2013. There is no limitation in the number of participants.
