Hei, (below in English) Tässä yhteenveto keskiviikon soluviljelijöiden kokouksesta: 1. Yleisimmin käytössä olevien soluviljelymuovien tarjouskyselyä varten käytiin läpi top-toimittajia jotka ovat Greiner ja Corning. Tiedot löytyvät täältä: S:\KLIIN\CRC\Cell_culture_materials. Eri toimittajilla tuotteiden valmistaja saattaa olla sama, sitä vielä tarkistetaan ennen tarjouskyselyä. Huomioikaa, että jokainen voi jatkaa hyväksi kokemiensa tuotteiden käyttöä jatkossakin. 2. Kenkäsuojia on nyt saatu soluviljelyyn, samoin Minnalta saatavaa (kiitos😊) kenkätelinettä varten on tehty järjestelyjä eteishuoneeseen. Uusi kenkäteline hankitaan myös 357B soluviljelyn eteistilaan. Jokaisen on tärkeää huolehtia jalkineiden siisteydestä, joko käyttämällä soluviljelyyn pyhitettyjä kenkiä tai kenkäsuojia. Ovensuussa olevan tarranauhan vaihtoväliä tihennetään myös, viestiä on laitettu siivoojille. Seurataan tilannetta, jos tarra on kovinkin likainen, sen saa myös itse vaihtaa puhtaaseen. 3. Gynen inkubaattori siirtyy soluviljelyyn 342B lavuaarin alle. Tähän liittyen tehdään sähköpistokkeen asennustöitä lähiaikoina. 4. 341B:ssä olevan inkubaattorin kumitiivisteen korjauksesta keskusteltiin. Kaappi on neuron Lauran käytössä ja hänellä on taukoa soluviljelyssä joulu-tammikuussa. Antti selvittää, onko mahdollista tilata uusi tiiviste ja sen asennus, vai tilataanko nykyisen paikkaus liimaamalla. Palataan asiaan mahdollisesti jo ensi viikon CRC:n palaverissa. 5. Yleiset soluviljelyohjeet löytyvät jatkossa kansiosta S:\KLIIN\CRC\Soluviljely Cell culture\Instructions. Olen lähettänyt kohdennettuja päivityspyyntöjä Antille (yhteystiedot), Anjalle (mykoplasmatestaus), yleinen työskentely (Pirjo) ja kalenterivaraukset (Salla). Lisään päivitetyt versiot kansioon asap. 6. Labratakkien vaihtovälistä keskusteltiin. Riippuen työn aktiivisuudesta takin vaihto 2-4 viikon välein on kohtuullinen. Ennen lomia tehdään myös kollektiivinen takkien keräys pesuun. Seuraava ”kaikki takit pesuun” tempaus on 14.12. Ennen sitä, tyhjentäkää takkienne taskut, kiitos! 6. Lähestyvä loma-ajan katkos soluviljelyyn kannattaa hyödyntää puhtaanapidossa. Jokainen ryhmä siivoaa käyttämänsä laminaarin kauttaaltaan ennen lomaa. Inkubaattorit puhdistetaan: hyllyt tiskiin ja sterilointiohjelma päälle joko ennen tai jälkeen loman riippuen meneillään olevista soluviljelyistä. Huom! täyttäkää inkubaattoreiden vesialtaat ajatuksella niin, etteivät ne pääse tyhjenemään loman aikana! 7. Tammikuussa 2021 nestetyppivuoro siirtyy iholle ja sisätaudeille. Laura avustaa uuden porukan jyvälle hommaan. 8. Sovimme myös, että kirjoitan esiin tulleet asiat englanniksi ja lähetän yleiselle postituslistalle. **** Here is a summary of Wednesday's cell culture meeting: 1. The results of the cell culture plastic survey were studied together with Antti. Thank you everyone for providing the information! Greiner and Corning are the most common manufacturers for cell culture plastics used in CRC. Information can be found here: S: \ KLIIN \ CRC \ Cell_culture_materials. The manufacturer of the products may be the same for different suppliers, which will be checked before the tender by Antti. Please note that the idea is to get a discount offer that everyone from crc can utilize when ordering plastics for cell culture, however you can still continue to use other products as well if preferred. 2. Shoe covers are now available for cell culture, as well as arrangements have been made in the hall for another shoe rack from Minna (thank you). A new shoe rack will also be ordered to 357B cell culture. It is important that everybody either uses shoes dedicated to cell culture or shoe covers! You cannot enter the cell culture using outdoor shoes. Adhesive tape in the doorway will be changed more often by cleaners. Everybody can monitor the situation, if the tape gets very dirty, it can be replaced with a clean one. 3. The incubator of GYNE is moved to 342B cell culture under the sink. Installation work for the electrical plug will be carried out in the near future. 4. Repair of the rubber seal of the incubator at 341B was discussed. The incubator is mostly used by Laura from Neuro and she has a break from cell culture in December-January. Antti finds out whether it is possible to order a new seal and its installation, or whether to replace the existing seal by gluing. We will return to this possibly already at next week's CRC meeting. 5. General cell culture instructions can be found in the folder S: \ KLIIN \ CRC \ Cell culture \ Instructions. I have sent targeted update requests to Antti (contact information), Anja (mycoplasm test), general instructions (Pirjo) and calendar reservations (Salla). I will add the updated versions to the folder asap. 6. Exchange of used lab coats to clean ones was discussed. Depending on the activity of the work, changing the coat every 2-4 weeks is reasonable. Before the holidays, there is a collection of all coats for washing. The next “all lab coats for washing” collection is 14.12. Before that, empty the pockets of your coats, thank you! 6. The approaching Christmas holiday break in cell culture should be utilized in cleaning. Each group cleans the hood they use throughout before the holiday. The incubators are cleaned (shelves washed) and a sterilization program on either before or after the holiday depending on the cell cultures in progress. Note! fill the water containers of the incubators carefully so that they don’t dry out during holidays! 7. In January 2021, IHO and SISÄTAUDIT take care of the liquid nitrogen.
