Subject: BCO ultracentrifuge service for research - BCO ultrasentrifuugi tutkimuskäyttöön

 

Dear all,

 

I am happy to announce that Biocenter Oulu Cell Biology Core-hosted ultracentrifuge is now available for reservation at Kieppi building 4th floor room 444B. This ultracentrifuge is Thermo Scientific Sorvall WX-90 and it has a new TH-641 rotor and also there is a possibility to use AH-629 (an old rotor) for as long as it remains in good enough shape. The TH-641 rotor is ONLY to be used for this ultracentrifuge and can be found in the cold room 440B. For AH-629 contact the BCO VirusCore.

 

To allow maintenance of the setup - there is a small user fee 3€ per hour (max 30€ per run).

For this there is a billing form next to the ultracentrifuge at 444B.

 

To use this ultracentrifuge you will need to:

  1. Reserved the use via this link (It is necessary to first register to aki.manninen@oulu.fi)   ​xlsx icon BCO Cell Biology Core Ultracentrifuge Booking 2025.xlsx
  2. Fill in your name, cost center number and the project number to be used for costs into the billing form (located next to the ultracentrifuge in room 444B)
  3. Treat the centrifuge with respect and be informed about all the procedures associated with proper and safe use of ultracentrifuge. Ask Mari.Sujala@oulu.fi when needed.

Hyvät kollegat,

 

Iloisena ilmoitan, että Biocenter Oulun Solubiologian Core-yksikön hallinnoima ultrasentrifugi on nyt varattavissa Kieppi-rakennuksen 4. kerroksen huoneessa 444B. Kyseessä on Thermo Scientific Sorvall WX-90-ultrasentrifugi, johon on hankittu uusi TH-641 roottori, ja lisäksi on mahdollista käyttää myös vanhempaa AH-629-roottoria niin kauan kuin sen kunto sen sallii. TH-641 roottoria saa käyttää VAIN tässä ultrasentrifuugissa, ja se löytyy kylmähuoneesta 440B. AH-629 käyttö – ole yhteydessä VirusCoreen.

 

Laitteen ylläpidon mahdollistamiseksi peritään pieni käyttömaksu: 3 € / tunti (maksimissaan 30 € / ajokerta). Laskutusta varten huoneessa 444B on laskutustietolomake.

 

Ultrasentrifugin käyttö edellyttää seuraavia toimia:

  2. Täytä nimesi, kustannuspaikkanumerosi sekä projekti, jolle kustannukset kohdistetaan laskutuslomakkeeseen (löytyy laitteiston vierestä huoneesta 444B).
  3. Käytä laitetta huolellisesti ja kunnioittaen, ja varmista, että tunnet ultrasentrifugin oikeat ja turvalliset käyttöohjeet. Kysy Mari.Sujala@oulu.fi tarvittaessa.
