2. Cell Lockerille on löytynyt riittävästi tilaa inkubaattorissa eikä sen säilytykseen kaapin ulkopuolella ole ollut tarvetta. Filtterit sovittiin vaihdettavaksi aina kaappien pesun yhteydessä eli juhannuksen ja joulun aikaan sekä jos ilmenee kontaminaatioita.

3. Nestetyppitankkien vääjäämättä lähestyvästä tilanpuutteesta keskusteltiin lyhyesti ja muistutettiin, että jokaisessa ryhmässä on tärkeää käydä läpi säilytyksessä olevat soluampullit. Olennaista olisi saada yhteys tutkijoihin jotka eivät tee enää aktiivisesti tutkimusta ja käydä heidän nimissään olevat näytteet läpi. Helpoin on aloittaa sähköisistä listoista ja sitä kautta selvittää kuinka paljon tilaa nyt vievät vanhat näytteet joita arkistoidaan ja joiden tarpeellisuudesta ei ole kenelläkään tietoa/käynnissä olevaa tutkimuslupaa.

4. Nestetyppivuoro siirtyy heinäkuun alussa Kirurgialle ja Anatomialle. Sannaa on informoitu asiasta. Tarvittaessa järjestetään perehdytys kesäkuun aikana vuorosta vastaaville henkilöille.

5. Soluviljelystä tulevaa autoklavoitavaa jätettä sisältävät pussit sankkoineen siirretään soluviljelyjen etuhuoneeseen odottamaan noutoa. Pussit nidotaan valmiiksi kiinni ja merkitään onko kyseessä märkä vai kuiva jäte. Sen jälkeen soluviljelyyn viedään tyhjä sankko pusseineen soluviljelyn eteisestä tai kylmähuoneesta. Jätteet kerätään autoklavoitavaksi kolmena päivänä viikossa (ma, ke ja pe). Jos jätettä kertyy enemmän, silloin jokaisen on itse huolehdittava jätteet autoklavoitavaksi.

7. Haravapipettien kalibrointi on ajankohtaista. Pari pipettiä on ollut huollettavana, ilmoitelkaa Antille jos huomaatte lisää pipettejä joiden kalibrointi on aiheellista.

1. An exceptionally busy period in cell culture during February-March has been resolved now. No problems have arisen, and there has been enough space for everyone.

2. Sufficient space has been found for the Cell Locker in the incubator and there has been no need to store it outside. It was agreed that the filters will be regularly replaced when the incubators are sterilized, i.e. during Midsummer and Christmas, and if contamination occurs.

3. The inevitable shortage of space in liquid nitrogen tanks was discussed briefly and it was reminded that it is important for each group to review the cell lines in storage. It would be essential to get in touch with researchers who are no longer actively conducting research and review the samples in their names. The easiest way to start is with electronic lists and thereby find out how much space old samples that are being archived and whose necessity no one knows about (nor whether their ethical permit is still valid) are now taking up.

4. Surgery and Anatomy will take care of the liquid nitrogen tanks from the beginning of July. Sanna has been informed about this. If necessary, an orientation will be organized for the people responsible for the shift during June.

5. The bags containing autoclavable waste from cell culture should be moved with their containers to the cell culture entry room for collection. The bags should be closed using staples and marked as wet or dry waste. Empty containers (with bags) can be found from the cell culture entry room or cold room. The waste will be collected for autoclaving three days a week (Mon, Tue and Wed). If not sufficient enough, then one needs to take the waste to the autoclaving themselves.

7. A couple of multichannel pipettes has already been sent for maintenance and calibration, please let Antti know if you notice any more pipettes that need service.
